From a school visit to
40 years of building India.

"His approach remains rooted in precision, practical understanding, and a deep focus on detailing — ensuring that every project is not only well-designed, but well-executed."

What began as a simple visit to an architect during his school years — for the planning of his house — sparked a lifelong interest in the built environment. That early curiosity led Sunil Manocha to pursue architecture, securing admission at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in 1979, followed by professional training in Delhi to gain deeper exposure to design and execution.

In 1986, he founded Design Home in Bhopal — starting from a single-room practice and steadily building it into a trusted architectural consultancy. Early in his career, he was involved in the planning and execution of Shanti Niketan Society (BHEL), setting the foundation for a detail-oriented and execution-driven approach that defines the studio to this day.

With over four decades of experience, he has led a wide range of residential, commercial, and institutional projects across India. His long-standing association with institutions like Punjab National Bank, along with projects for Bank of Baroda and Bank of India, reflects both trust and consistency in his work.

His contributions have been recognised through achievements such as a Green Building Award for the Bank of Baroda regional office in Indore, and securing first position in the design competition for the State Bank of India Currency Chest at Jabalpur.

Our Team.

Behind every space we design is a dedicated team of qualified architects, interior designers, and project coordinators who bring skill, commitment, and careful thinking to every stage of the process. Each member contributes a distinct perspective — whether in spatial planning, detailing, execution oversight, or client coordination — and together they ensure that every project reflects the same standard of precision and care that Design Home has been known for since 1986. They are not just professionals; they are the reason our clients keep coming back.
